Description of Event On Saturday, October 22nd, New York Texas Exes will be joining thousands of volunteers to revitalize more than 100 New York City public schools. During the 14th Annual New York Cares Day, we will reorganize libraries; work in technology centers; clean up playgrounds; paint murals and line games; and make our schools brighter, cleaner, and happier--efforts that have an enormous impact, creating positive learning environments for children.

New York Cares Day is a serve-a-thon and is New York Cares' largest fundraiser. As in a walk-a-thon, participants raise pledges from friends, family, and co-workers in honor of the time we spend volunteering. The money we raise helps to cover the cost of the day and to support the thousands of other volunteer projects New York Cares plans throughout the year. The more money we raise, the more work that can be done for New York City's communities. We're asking all NYTE volunteers to contribute at least $5 toward the cost of the New York Cares t-shirts.

To join the New York Texas Exes team, click here and select "Join a Team", and choose "NY Texas Exes". Once you're registered, remember to tell people they can pledge donations in your name online.
